How It All Started
Our Story
Some of my favorite childhood memories involve sitting around a little table at my grandparents' house, enjoying a bowl of ice cream. It wasn't anything fancy, but those moments were filled with laughter, love, and the simple joy that comes from sharing a sweet treat with the people you love most.
As I grew older and started a family of my own, ice cream became one of those traditions that carried on. It's always been a favorite treat for my kids, creating memories and smiles just like it did for me years ago.
When we purchased the building next door to Southern Charm Boutique, we knew we wanted to add something special to our community. We tossed around several ideas. We didn't want a wine bar or anything alcohol-related, and the space simply wasn't large enough for a full restaurant. Then one day, the answer seemed obvious—ice cream.
Around that same time, I was still looking for a meaningful way to honor my grandfather, who passed away in December 2024. He had a special love for ice cream, even though he was diabetic. It was one of those little things that always made us smile. His middle name was Milton, and when I said "Milton's Ice Cream" out loud for the first time, it just felt right. And that's how Milton's Ice Cream was born.
This shop is more than just ice cream. It's a place built on memories, family, tradition, and love. Every detail—from the planning and design to the construction and finishing touches—has been poured into creating a space where families can gather, make memories, and enjoy life's simple pleasures together. We are so excited to share this dream with our community and hope that every time you walk through our doors, you can feel the love and heart that went into bringing Milton's Ice Cream to life.
